Uzbekistan links visitor growth with tourism-service certification

Uzbekistan’s Tourism Committee reported 2026 visitor and accommodation indicators and publishes a certification framework for tourism services. Together, the indicators and standards provide a useful starting point for curated hospitality, travel, destination-management and consumer-experience research.

Verified facts

  • The Tourism Committee reported 6.6 million international visitors, 7,364 accommodation facilities and 202,300 beds for January–June 2026. Aggregate figures must retain their period, definition and source; they do not prove capacity, quality or availability for a named date, property or itinerary.
  • The Committee’s certification material states that certification of tourism activities is mandatory under the Tourism Law and describes certification of tourism services and certain facilities. A framework page is not proof that a named operator or property is currently eligible, certified, insured, available or suitable for a particular traveller.
  • The published Tourism Law includes provisions on tourist safety and obligations for operators. Legal text and policy duties must be tested against the exact operator, itinerary, route, activity, traveller profile, emergency arrangements and contract; they do not provide a travel-safety guarantee.
  • World Bank tourism analysis places international demand in an uneven global operating context. It is independent market context, not evidence that Uzbekistan-specific suppliers, sites, bookings, payments or traveller protections are available for an individual trip.

Horizon view

The decision unit is a named legal seller and appropriately verified local operator, linked to a dated itinerary, traveller profile, site, transport and accommodation chain, safety plan, contract and payment or refund route. National growth makes it sensible to research priority segments and develop a well-evidenced tourism product with qualified local operators.

Commercial implication and next step

Before promotion, referral, booking or collection, create an itinerary-control file: traveller entry and document responsibility; legal seller/operator and current certification/role evidence; site and activity access; hotel/transport/guide confirmations; safety/emergency and insurance boundary; service contract, cancellation/refund and complaint path; minimal-data workflow; price/currency/beneficiary/receipt; counterparty screening; and a capped no-sale verification step. Recheck volatile facts before every traveller-facing action. Do not promise availability, entry, safety, customer service or refund based on sector statistics or a general certification page.

What to verify before acting

The sources do not establish an operator certificate, licence, itinerary, visa or entry result, site access, traveller safety, hotel or transport capacity, insurance cover, booking, price, refund, payment, contract or transaction. This is not Uzbekistan tourism, immigration, travel, security, medical, insurance, consumer, payment or legal advice.
