Uzbekistan tourism growth and air connectivity expand the market-mapping agenda for hospitality
Uzbekistan’s Tourism Committee reported strong January to July 2026 inbound-tourism, airport and accommodation indicators. The update gives hospitality, travel-services, destination-infrastructure and foodservice businesses a timely evidence base for identifying priority cities, visitor segments and qualified local operators.
Verified facts
- The Tourism Committee reported 7,749,307 foreign tourists from January to July 2026, 22.6% above the same period a year earlier. The aggregate arrival count does not identify traveller purpose, nationality mix, destination, length of stay, spending, distribution channel or buyer for a specific offer.
- The same official report stated that airports handled 8.15 million passengers in January–June 2026, up 16% year-on-year, and reported new direct services to Tashkent plus growth at several regional airports. Traffic data do not verify route permanence, load factor, cargo capacity, commercial terms or access to an airline distribution channel.
- The Committee reported 705 new accommodation facilities and 22,296 beds in January–July 2026, with 7,440 facilities and 202,600 beds in total. Facility and bed counts do not prove quality, legal status, ownership, room availability, occupancy, price, service standard or partner suitability.
- The official release reported US$3,895.7 million in tourism-services exports in January–July 2026, up 56% year-on-year. A macro services-export figure cannot be allocated to a destination, operator, hotel, restaurant, attraction or foreign supplier.
Horizon view
The evidence makes Uzbekistan an active hospitality and connectivity research market. The decision unit should be a named destination, property, operator or travel product with verified operating rights, service design, source-market route, seasonality, pricing, cash collection and customer-protection responsibilities. This provides a disciplined way to prioritise proposition and partner development.
Commercial implication and next step
For a hospitality, destination, travel-tech, foodservice, mobility, aviation-support or tourism-investment proposition, create a market-entry file covering: exact customer/use case; named property or operator and ownership/authority; applicable registration and operating permissions; location and access; service, language and safety capacity; source-market and distribution-channel evidence; booking/payment/refund and data workflow; local employment and supplier conditions; quality, insurance and incident responsibilities; price and revenue model; and a limited, authorised pilot. Do not promise access, occupancy, bookings, route availability, partner quality or sales from national indicators alone.
What to verify before acting
The sources do not establish a tourism or business licence, visa or entry outcome, airline or airport agreement, hotel availability, occupancy, property title, operating contract, tour-operator appointment, customer demand, booking, price, payment, investment, contract or transaction. This is not Uzbekistan tourism, aviation, hospitality, immigration, consumer, tax, insurance, investment or legal advice.
