Georgia’s VET data clarifies employer-linked skills demand

Georgia’s official VET, employment and labour-market sources provide a documented basis for researching employer-linked workforce needs.

Verified facts

  • The Ministry of Education, Science and Youth identifies VET objectives that include responding to labour-market change and developing school-business partnerships. An institutional objective is not an employer mandate, provider appointment, curriculum approval for a specific role or training contract.
  • The Ministry records a vocational-training and qualification component for job seekers, including a stated list of in-demand professions. A policy component or occupation list does not identify a live vacancy, applicant, wage, worksite, provider capacity or placement outcome for a particular employer.
  • Geostat publishes employment, unemployment and wage indicators, while the Labour Market Survey System describes business-demand research covering workforce demand, employee training and vocational development. Aggregate data and survey tools help frame diligence; they cannot replace a current written employer requirement.
  • ILO, IMF and EU reporting provide independent context on skills, social dialogue and VET development. Their analysis does not establish that a named employer, learner, course, funder or worksite meets the required operating conditions.

Horizon view

The evidence supports a disciplined employer-led discovery route in which the first commercial unit is a named role, task map, worksite, accountable employer, qualified provider and participant pathway. It does not support a generic promise that Georgia can supply trained workers, that public VET capacity is immediately available, or that a training course will convert into placement.

Commercial implication and next step

For a real workforce question, collect a controlled evidence pack before outreach or mobilisation: employer legal entity and signatory; role, task, shift, wage and worksite; current demand and timing; provider, trainer, equipment and assessment; learner selection, consent and safeguards; practical HSE, supervision and insurance; curriculum and qualification boundary; data ownership; payer, procurement and payment evidence; employment or placement terms; integrity controls; and a capped pilot with an explicit stop condition. Do not collect CVs, promise learners, market placement rates, quote an outcome fee or describe a state-backed programme without current attributable approval from the responsible parties.

What to verify before acting

The sources do not establish a vacancy, employer mandate, provider appointment, learner availability, programme approval, curriculum recognition, worksite safety, funding, placement, employment terms, payment, contract or transaction. This is not Georgia employment, labour, education, safeguarding, data-protection, tax, insurance, funding or legal advice.
